Elena Demshina - Fieldwork Director
Elena Demshina graduated from the University of N. Novgorod (Russia) with a M.Sc. degree in educational psychology. She started her career as a marketing and social sciences researcher in 1989 at the Institute of Sociology at the Russian Academy of Science. In August 1994 she combined her responsibilities as a research specialist at the Institute of Sociology with those of Director at the Russian Sociological Center
in
N. Novgorod.
In 1998 Ms Demshina joined Ipsos Russia (formerly F-Squared Market Research+Consulting) as a regional director, taking responsibility for organizing and controlling fieldwork across all regions of Russia and the countries of the CIS. As a regional director she also coordinated fieldwork for multinational studies involving Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and the Middle East.
Since February 2002 she has managed the Fieldwork Department of Ipsos. Currently her department includes 44 fieldwork managers and supervisors in Moscow who are responsible for all aspects of fieldwork in the capital as well as a regional network consisting of 48 regional representatives and over 3600 interviewers spread across the country
